Our standard handles are 9 inches long, covered in soft goat leather and braided in a diamond style braid. Our handles ends are made round for smoother action between the fingers and being long enough to grip it with 2 hands. 

Doubling the tails dramatically increases the weight and thud/sting of the flogger. Our Suede Flogger has 72  suede tails 3/8 wide and  21 inches long that is looped at the ends not cut.
